Savile Home To Be Demolished
Jimmy Savile's former penthouse in Leeds is to be demolished and new apartments built on the site, the new owners have said.
The Roundhay Park property, which went on the market in September for £325,000, was bought for £250,000 by a couple living in the next-door flat.
Malcolm and Angela Statman said the disgraced broadcaster's former home was in a "terrible condition".
Investigation Launched Into Climbers Death
An investigation has been launched after a climber died during an operation to rescue him on Ben Nevis.
51-year-old Mark Philips fell about 50m (164ft) while climbing in the Raeburn's Buttress area on the north face of the mountain on Monday.
RAF and Royal Navy helicopters were called to the scene, along with Lochaber Mountain Rescue Team.
It is not yet known exactly how Mr Philips died during the resuce.
However, newspaper reports suggested that Mr Phillips fell during the rescue operation.
PCC Clear The Sun Of Subterfuge
The Press Complaints Commission (PCC) has ruled that the Sun did not breach rules on subterfuge when it obtained details of a police evidence list at the scene of the Norfolk Broads deaths.
However, PCC did say the paper misled readers by suggesting that the evidence log on which its story was based had been provided voluntarily by police sources.
In an article published on 4 September last year, the Sun reported that a number of items – including a purple sex toy and a sheet covered in blood – had been retrieved from the river near the boat where John Didier and Annette Creegan had been staying before their deaths.
The Sun article did not explain how it discovered the log of items – but it later emerged that a press agency photographer had captured a police officer's evidence list when taking pictures at the crime scene.
