Man Extradited From Morocco To Face Four Murder Charges
A 54-year-old man has been extradited from Morocco to appear in court charged with the murders of a family of four at their home in Northampton.
Jifeng and Helen Ding and their two daughters, 18-year-old Xing and Alice, 12, were stabbed at their home in Wootton in April 2011.
Anxiang Du was arrested in Morocco in July last year and was extradited on Wednesday.
During the court appearance proceedings were translated to him in Mandarin.
He was told he had been charged with four counts of murder/
Mr Du, who lived in Coventry at the time of the offences, thanked Judge Tim Daber at the end of the hearing and was remanded in custody to appear at Northampton Crown Court on 15 March.

Yassin Mutegombwa, 22, his 20-year-old brother Hassan, Musa Akmet, 47 and Mustafa Abdullah, 24, have all been charged under anti-terrorism legislation.

Eric Illsley has quit as an MP after pleading guilty on Tuesday to dishonestly claiming parliamentary expenses. Mr Illsley, 55, from Barnsley, South Yorkshire, pleaded guilty to three false accounting charges over claims for council tax, maintenance, repairs and utility bills for his second home at Southwark Crown Court.
