Cairngorms Dead Hillwalker Named
A man who died while hillwalking in the Cairngorms has been named.
Graham Connell, 31, from Castleford, West Yorkshire, was found in the Jacob's Ladder area on Monday.
The five companions he was walking with from Leeds University Hiking Club were rescued by helicopter.
Northern Constabulary said a report would be submitted to the procurator fiscal.

Scout Leader Found Dead On Hiking Trip
A "experienced" hiker has been found dead after going missing on a trip to Liechtenstein. The British scout leader was found dead after he apparently plunged 1,000ft down a ravine. Thomas Moore, 21, from Stevenage in Hertfordshire, left the group expedition to hike solo up the Mittagsspitz mountain.

Three Kayakers Found Dead Named
Three kayakers found dead in the River Tyne in Northumberland after they went missing were two brothers and their cousin. Police were alerted after brothers Darren Thorpe, 41, Mark Thorpe, 39, and their cousin Gavin Bradley, 36, all from South Shields, were reported missing at 11.00pm last Sunday when they failed to return home.

Two Dead British Hostages Named
Gordon Brown has hit back at criticisms that the British government did not do enough to try and free two hostages who died in Iraq. The bodies of two of the five captives, Jason Creswell and Jason Swindlehurst, were returned to British authorities on Sunday. They were among a group of five Britons who were taken hostage in Baghdad in 2007.

Southampton Garage Dead Named
A man thought to have killed his two daughters, before killing himself, has been named locally as David Cass, 33. Police discovered the bodies of the man and his two daughters, aged one and three, at Paynes Road Car Sales, a commercial garage, in Freemantle, Southampton at around 6.50pm on Sunday evening.

Two dead British troops named by MoD
The Ministry of Defence has named two British troops killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. Kingsman Alex Green was killed in Basra on Saturday, while Royal Marine Thomas Curry died in the Helmand Province in Afghanistan on the same day.
