Elderly Mother And Daughter Found Dead At Birmingham Home

An elderly mother and daughter have been found dead at a house in Birmingham.

Following reports of concern from neighbours police and fire crews forced their way in to the house on Balaclava Road around 19.00 on Monday night.

It is understood that the deaths are currently being treated as unexplained and officers are trying to trace the family of the 95-year-old woman and her 64-year-old daughter.

Forensic examination of the scene is underway.

West Midlands Police reported that neighbours had seen the pair's fire was on through the window of the house, but were unable to get an answer at the door.

Anyone who may have seen the mother and daughter in the past week - or saw anything suspicious in Balaclava Road – has been urged to contact police.
