Police Think Body Found In Fire Was Murdered By Husband

Police have said they suspect a woman found after a house fire in north London was murdered by her husband.

Fire crews found the bodies of both the husband and wife in the house in Fallow Court Avenue, North Finchley on Tuesday.

Police now think that 80-year-old Chloe Siokos died as a result of the fire on Tuesday morning and are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident.

Post-mortem examinations on the couple's bodies have yet to be arranged.

The woman's body was found in the kitchen and the man's body in a first-floor bedroom.

Next of kin have been told but formal identification is yet to take place.
