86-Year-Old Killed In Brutal Assault
An 86-year-old woman was murdered in a "brutal assault" at her Cambridgeshire home, police have confirmed.
Una Crown, who was last seen alive on Friday, was found in her bungalow in Magazine Lane, Wisbech, on Sunday morning.
Post-mortem tests carried out on Tuesday found she died from injuries sustained in an assault.
Det Ch Insp Jon Hutchinson said: "Mrs Crown died as a result of a brutal assault in her own home."
He added: "Our investigation is still at a very early stage and we are trying to build up a picture of the events that lead to her death.
"Her murder has obviously devastated her family and I would urge anyone with any information to call police."

Manhunt Launched For Double Murder Suspect
Police have launched a manhunt following the discovery of two murder victims. A 35-year-old suspect, named as James Allen, is being sought on suspicion of murdering 81-year-old Colin Dunford, and a 50-year-old Julie Davison. The body of Colin Dunford was found at his home in Middlesbrough on Monday.
