Teen Appears In Court Charged With The Murder Of Four Siblings

A 19-year-old has appeared in court charged with the murder of four children who died in a house fire.

Dyson Allen is accused of killing siblings Jordon Smith, 2, twins Holly and Ella, 4, and Reece, 19.

They all died of smoke inhalation at a bungalow in Freckleton, Lancashire, in January.

Their mother was saved by firefighters.

Allen's solicitor, Hugh Pond, said that he will deny the charge.

He has been remanded in custody until Monday for an initial hearing at Preston Crown Court.

Man Charged With Toddler's Murder
A Romford man has been charged with the murder of a 14-month-old boy. The alarm was raised after the baby was pronounced dead at an east London hospital on Thursday afternoon. Post-mortem tests revealed he died from a blunt trauma injury to the abdomen. Nathan Allen, 26, from Romford, was due to appear at Havering Magistrates' Court on Monday.

Allen Charged With Double Murder
A 36-year-old man suspected of murdering a woman from Whitby and a man from Middlesborough has been charged. James Allen was also charged with rape, false imprisonment, assault and witness intimidation. The body of Colin Dunford, 81, was discovered at his home on 23 April and Julie Davison, 50, was discovered two days later.

23 Charged With Drug Offences Following Raids
More than 20 people have been charged with drug offences following a number of raids carried out in London, Gravesend, Dover and Deal. A total of 23 people were arrested during twenty raids carried out over three days. The suspects, ranging in age from 17 to 52, have all been charged in connection with the supply of class A drugs.

Gunman's Ashes Scattered Near Rothbury
The ashes of 'fugitive' gunman Raoul Moat have been scattered by his family near the spot where he took his own life. Moat died on July 10 in Rothbury following a six-hour stand-off with police. He had been on the run after shooting his former girlfriend, killing her new boyfriend and shooting a police officer.

Irish comedian Dave Allen dies aged 68
Dublin-born comedian Dave Allen, whose later trademark stand-up monologues were delivered from his chair with the obligatory glass of whiskey beside him, has died aged 68. His agent confirmed today that Dave Allen had passed away peacefully in his sleep at his home in West London.
