Men Arrested Over Cannabis Seizure
Three men have been arrested in East Ayrshire after police uncovered cannabis plants with an estimated street value of £290,000.
A property in Titchfield Street, Kilmarnock, was searched by detectives at about 21:45 on Saturday.
Three men, aged 24, 31 and 37, were detained following the discovery of the drugs.
The men are all in custody and are due to appear at Kilmarnock Sheriff Court on Monday.
16-Year-Old Arrested Over Arson
A 16-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of arson after a fire at Newport bus depot in Wales.
Four vehicles were destroyed: three buses and a training vehicle.
The fire happened on Corporation Road and the alarm was raised at 02:55 on Monday.
Malpas, Maindee and Duffryn fire-crews were called out, along with a water bowser from Cwmbran.
It took just under an hour to deal with the incident, according to South Wales Fire and Rescue Service.
The fire broke out at the end of the depot where the vehicles are washed and fuelled.
Man Given Life After Party Stabbing
A man has been given a life sentence with a minimum of 19 years for murdering a man at a party in Hampshire.
Simon Warton, 27, from Orsmond Close, Waterlooville, was found in the Dove Close area after being stabbed on 12 April.
He died from his wounds.
Sean Bailey, 29, from Waterlooville, was convicted of murder on Friday.
He had been arrested by police in a flat in Havant, two days after the incident.
Police had launched a public appeal to trace him.
The judge at Winchester Crown Court handed Bailey a life sentence and said he must serve a minimum of 19 years.
21-Year-Old Killed In Shooting
A man has been killed in a shooting in Liverpool.
21-year-old Jamie Starkey was shot several times as he left his house in Higher Lane, Fazakerley at 20:00 on Sunday.
The victim had recently been released from prison for shooting a man on New Year's Day 2008.
The killer is reported to have been wearing dark clothing.
He ran off towards nearby playing fields following the attack, according to police.

Wanted Man Arrested In London
The man wanted in connection with the murder of a 66-year-old man who intervened during a robbery, has been arrested. Ian John McLoughlin, 55, was arrested in London at around 01:00. He was wanted on suspicion of murder and robbery. Airports and ports had been put on alert as police hinted for McLoughlin.

Police Dig Up Pub Patio In Search For Missing Landlady
Police investigating the disappearance of a landlady in Cambridgeshire in 1997 are digging up the patio of her former pub. Deborah Steel, 37, was landlady of the Royal Standard in Ely, Cambridgeshire, when she disappeared on 28 December 1997. Police have said that Ms Steel's disappearance is now being treated as a murder investigation.

Seven people have been arrested on suspicion of terrorist financing offences, according to the Metropolitan Police. They were arrested at four separate addresses in London, Cardiff and Coventry at approximately 6am on suspicion of being concerned in the funding of a terrorist organisation, and laundering the proceeds of crime for that purpose.

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the rape of 12-year-old girl in east London. Three males lead the girl to a "secluded" end of a street in Walthamstow at around 00:15 on Saturday before two of them attacked her, held her down and raped her.
