Search Continues For Missing Man In Gorilla Costume

Concern is growing for the safety of a man who has not been seen since leaving a Halloween party on Friday dressed in a gorilla costume.

Craig McCaffrey, 24, was last seen at around 8:45pm after leaving a fancy dress night out he’d been at with his brother and two friends at the 02 in Eglinton Street, Glasgow. Craig was last seen on Eglinton Street heading in the direction of Bridge Street.

Craig is described as white, 6ft tall, medium build, short black hair, brown eyes and clean shaven. He has a tattoo on his left forearm which says Craig, a shamrock on his right forearm, the word Celtic on his right, upper arm and a dragon on the left side of his chest.

At the time of his disappearance Craig was wearing a gorilla costume (without the head section) a black Gio Gio jacket with a green and white jacket underneath and red shoes with a white V symbol on them.

Police have been carrying out an extensive search of the local area, making door to door enquiries, checking CCTV and speaking to family and friends in an effort to trace him but so far there have been no further sightings.

Inspector Angela Carty, of Cathcart Police Office said: "Concern is growing for Craig’s safety as his disappearance is completely out of character. I would ask that anyone who has seen him or knows of his whereabouts, to contact Cathcart Police Office on 0141 532 4900 or their local police office as a matter of urgency.

"I would also ask if he is able, that Craig himself contact police to assure us that he is ok."
