Knife Found Near Bodies Of Father And Children
The bodies of a father and his three children have been found in a disused quarry in Shropshire.
35-year-old Ceri Fuller, from Milkwall, near Coleford, had gone missing on Monday with his son Sam, 12, and daughters Rebecca, eight, and Charlotte, seven.
Their bodies were later found in a wooded area at Pontesbury near Shrewsbury by a police officer, West Mercia police said.
Police investigating the deaths have now revealed that a knife was found at the scene, and while West Mercia Police launched a murder inquiry they said they were not hunting anyone else in connection with it.
Det Ch Insp Neil Jamieson said the incident appeared to be a "tragic family situation".
"I can disclose that a weapon has been recovered from the scene," he said.
"Officers involved in the search found a knife in the vicinity of where the bodies were found. It will now be forensically examined."
He said the old quarry and surrounding woodland at Poles Coppice on Pontesbury Hill will remain cordoned off as officers continue a detailed search of the area.
Post-mortem examinations are due to be carried out by a Home Office pathologist later.

Police Investigating If Woman Was Trying To Save Dog When She Was Hit By Train
British Transport Police investigating the death of a woman have said that she may have been trying to save a dog when she was hit by a train. The 22-year-old woman was struck by a train close to Ainsdale station near Southport, Merseyside at about 15:00 on Wednesday. Transport police said a dog was also found dead at the scene.

Mother And Daughters Found Dead At House In East London
A mother and her twin daughter have been found dead at a house in east London. Police confirmed the woman, aged 37, and her daughters, aged 13, were found at a property in Grove Road, Chadwell Heath shortly after 1pm on Tuesday. It is understood the family had not been seen since Sunday.
