Winehouse's Ex Facing Rape Charges
The ex-boyfriend of Amy Winehouse has been charged with rape, according to the Sun newspaper.
Reg Traviss, 35, was Amy's last boyfriend before her death on July 23 last year.
He denies two charges of rape and will appear before Westminster Magistrates' Court on July 17.
Prosecutors decided to charge Traviss after he was quizzed in April over rapes that allegedly took place around New Year.
'Serious Failings' In Insurance Sales
Banks have mis-sold specialist 'interest rate swap' insurance to thousands of small businesses, the Financial Service Authority has said.
It is the third case of malpractice at UK banks, following Payment Protection Insurance insurance mis-selling and the manipulation of lending rates.
The FSA said it found "serious failings" in the sales of interest rate swaps.
Business affected should now be contacted by their bank.
Independent School Faces £2m Debts
A top school in Wales is facing severe financial problems.
The Charity Commission has published accounts from last year that show Llandovery College in Carmarthenshire has debts of more than £2m and is running a deficit of £153,112.
Past pupils at the boarding and day school include rugby star George North, singer Rhydian Roberts and several Archbishops of Wales.
Among the creditors owed cash is HM Revenue and Customs.

The ringleader of a paedophile gang in Rochdale, who groomed young white girls for sex, has been named after being found guilty of 30 separate child rape charges. Shabir Ahmed, 59, led a child sex exploitation ring of nine men who targeted vulnerable young girls in the Rochdale and Oldham areas of Greater Manchester.

Primary School Teacher Sentenced For Sexual Offences
A North Somerset primary school teacher has been given an indeterminate public protection order for a catalogue of sexual abuse against young girl pupils in his care. He will only be released when it is safe to do so and this equates to a determinate sentence of 24 years.

Rape Investigation Against MP Mark Pritchard Dropped
An investigation into rape allegations against Conservative MP Mark Pritchard have been dropped, Scotland Yard has confirmed. Mr Pritchard, MP for The Wrekin in Shropshire, was arrested on 2 December, however he was released on police bail. He has now been informed no further action will be taken.

Date rape case judges 'can influence trial outcome'
A judge's summing-up can influence a jury's decision in date rape cases, a report has suggested. The research, conducted for the British Psychological Society, presented 168 university students with a date rape scenario, which included a summing-up statement by the judge, and asked them to decide on the guilt of the alleged rapist.

Legislation allowing UK nationals to be prosecuted for sexual offences committed abroad has been used to charge 54-year-old Simon Harris, of Pudleston, Leominster. He is facing charges of attempted rape and sexual activity with a child, police have said.
