Marble Arch Murder Victim Named

Detectives are continuing to appeal for witnesses and information following a central London murder.

Police were called at around 3.30am on Thursday 21 June, to reports of a body found at Marble Arch.

Mark Morrison was pronounced dead at the scene, a post-mortem examination gave cause of death as strangulation.

The 46-year-old, originally from Scotland, was understood to have been sleeping rough in London for some time. Officers are still trying to trace any next of kin.

DCI Nicola Wall, of the Homicide and Serious Crime Command, said: "Mr Morrison's body was found next to a bench under one of the arches at Marble Arch.

"He may have been killed at any point during the night, and we are still urgently appealing for anyone who may have seen an altercation or anything suspicious in the vicinity during Thursday night (20 June), into the early hours of Friday (21 June), to come forward."

Three Found Guilty Of Ben Kinsella Murder

Ben, the brother of Eastenders actress Brooke Kinsella, was stabbed 11 times in a north London street, once through the heart.

Seventh arrest over teenager's stabbing
A seventh person has been arrested in connection with the fatal stabbing of 14-year-old Paul Erhahon in east London last Friday. A 17-year-old youth was arrested on Thursday and is now in custody along with two 15-year-olds arrested in the same investigation on Wednesday.

21-Year-Old Charged With Murder Of Baby Boy
A 21-year-old man has been charged with the murder of an 11-week-old boy in Oxfordshire. Jordan Saxton is accused of fatally injuring the boy at a property in Faringdon. The baby boy was found with head injuries in the early hours of 17 November last year. The child died a short time later in hospital.

Men Jailed For Life Over Shopkeeper Murder
Two men have been jailed for life for murdering a shopkeeper in West Yorkshire. During a robbery in February, Gurmail Singh was continually struck over the head with wine bottles from his Cowcliffe Convenience Store in Huddersfield.
