Toddler In Surgery After Dog Attack
A two-year-old Swindon boy who suffered serious facial injuries when he was mauled by a dog has undergone surgery.
The child is said to have had damage to the eye, one of his ears and part of his nose torn off in an attack by a Staffordshire bull terrier in a neighbour's back garden on Sunday evening.
Keiron Guess was found by his 49-year-old grandfather who suffered an injury to his arm while trying to fight the animal off.
The toddlers parents are at his bedside at Frenchay Hospital in Bristol.
The dog was put down following the incident.

Relative charged over dog maul death girl
The grandmother of a five-year-old girl who was attacked and killed by a pit bull terrier-type dog has been charged with her manslaughter. Ellie Lawrenson suffered severe head and neck injuries in the attack at the home of Jacqueline Simpson, 46, in St Helens, Merseyside in the early hours of New Year's Day.

According to reports the car collided with a barrier next to the railway line on Victoria Street in Shipley. Teenager Critical After Liverpool Bus Accident
