Cameron Opposes Scotland's Call For Independence
Britain’s Prime Minister has urged Scotland to reject calls for independence if a referendum is held on the subject.
David Cameron has said that he believes in the Union and that a break –up would be damaging to UK economy.
Scotland’s First Minister, Alex Salmond, has said that intends to hold the referendum in 2014 but it is understood that any vote would be unlawful without the approval of the coalition. Despite this the Scottish Government insists it will go ahead with a referendum.
The Liberal Democrats, Labour and the Conservatives are opposed the to Scottish Independence and say they will fight against the referendum that is supported by Mr Salmond’s Scottish National Party (SNP).

100 Days Until Scottish Independence Referendum
Campaigners have marked the 100 days milestone until the 18 September, when the Scottish independence referendum will take place. Currently, opinion polls are suggesting a victory for the pro-Union vote, but First Minister Alex Salmon has said there is still enough time for the "Yes" campaign to close the gap on opponents.

Prime Minister David Cameron has turned down an offer of a TV debate with Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond. Mr Salmond had invited Mr Cameron to debate Scottish Independence but the PM refused, saying instead that Mr Salmond should debate Alistair Darling, head of the pro-Union campaign group Better Together.
