Family Of Student Visit Murder Spot

The parents of student Anuj Bidve, who was shot dead on Boxing day, have visited the scene of his murder today.

He was shot in the head as he walked with friends along Ordsall Lane in Salford.

His parents, who travelled from India, visited the scene this morning where tributes and flowers have been left.

His father, Subhash Bidve's, said: "As you can imagine this has been an extremely difficult journey to make.

"We do not blame the people of the city for what happened. The only person we blame is the man responsible for taking Anuj away from us."

The family arrived in the UK on Wednesday to take his body home.

Kiaran Stapletone, 20, has been charged with his murder.
