Occupy London Camp To See In New Year

Anti communists protesters could remain camped outside St Paul’s Cathedral for another two months now that the City of London Corporation has agreed to halt legal action.

City of London has said they will hold off on legal action until the New Year if the number of tents pitched outside the cathedral is reduced.

The offer was made on Wednesday during a meeting between protesters and legal representatives from the City's governing body, the campaign group said.

Tina Rothery, and Occupy London member, who attended the talks, said: "We would have to make a slight reduction in tents in order to free up space for the fire brigade. There's a hindrance of access for St Paul's churchyard. We're not blocking it but they would like more space."

Occupy London is an ongoing peaceful protest and demonstration against economic inequality, the lack of affordability of housing in the United Kingdom, social injustice, corporate greed and the influence of companies and lobbyists on government taking place in London, United Kingdom, which started on 15 October 2011.

The protests have established two encampments in central London: one outside St Paul's Cathedral in the City of London and the other in Finsbury Square just to the north of the City.
