Boy Arrested Over Notting Hill Stabbing
A 16-year-old boy and four men have been arrested over the stabbing of a man during the second day of the Notting Hill Carnival in west London. The victim, who is aged 20, received stab wounds to his abdomen and hand during the attack on Ladbroke Grove, at the Oxford Gardens junction. He was taken to hospital after the assault, at about 6pm where he remains in a serious but stable condition. Police have also detained three men aged 20 and a 21-year-old man. Police said they were keen to speak to a man who tried to stop a suspect from leaving the scene by attempting to trip him up. They also asked anyone else who was in the area at the time to come forward. The victim was one of 86 people who were taken to hospital during the two-day celebration of Caribbean culture, St John Ambulance said.
Body Found In Kebab Shop Rubble
A body has been discovered 14 hours after a kebab shop in Leicester was destroyed in an explosion. Two men and four women were arrested after the explosion in Narborough Road in the early hours of Monday. A spokesman for Leicestershire Police said officers were treating the blast as suspicious. At first it was not believed anyone was hurt in the blast, but a body was found 14 hours after the explosion. Two shops close to the kebab shop have been boarded up because of damage. Leicestershire Fire and Rescue and police are investigating the cause.
Murder Hunt After Fatal Assault In London
Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of a 56-year-old man. Officers were called at 10.40pm on Friday August 12 to Sentinel Square, Hendon, following reports of a serious assault. London Ambulance Service were also called to the scene. The victim was taken to the Royal London hospital where he died on Thursday 25 August. Officers believe the man to be Zbigniew Ksiazek from Hendon. Anyone with information is asked to contact the incident room number at Hendon on 020 8358 0200, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. A 37-year-old man was arrested in connection with the investigation. He has been bailed to return to a north London police station on a date in late in September pending further enquiries.

British Man Dies In Dubai Police Custody
A British man has died in police custody in Dubai. Lee Bradley Brown, 39, from east London, died on Tuesday after he was taken to a Dubai police station where he was allegedly assaulted and put into a cell. It has been reported that Mr Brown, was arrested over a row at the luxury hotel Burj Al Arab hotel.

Man Arrested Over Kent Doctor's Murder
A 21-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the murder of a doctor in Kent. Consultant paediatrician Dr Victoria Anyetei, 54, was found in her car in the driveway of her home in Dartford on August 14. She had been stabbed to death. Kent Police said that the man was arrested on suspicion of murder at an address in Dartford.

WWII Mortar Trigger Security Alert At London Police Station
Explosives specialists were called to a south-west London police station on Monday afternoon after a man handed in a World War Two mortar bomb as part of a gun amnesty. Police said that an 80-year-old man handed the 1940s device into Sutton station shortly before 13:30 on Monday.

Wanted Man Arrested In London
The man wanted in connection with the murder of a 66-year-old man who intervened during a robbery, has been arrested. Ian John McLoughlin, 55, was arrested in London at around 01:00. He was wanted on suspicion of murder and robbery. Airports and ports had been put on alert as police hinted for McLoughlin.

Two further terror training suspects remanded
Two further men have been remanded in custody following their arrest on Thursday on terror training charges. Mohamed Hamid, aged 48, of Clapton, east London, faces charges of soliciting murder and providing terror training. The second man, Kibley Da Costa, aged 23, of West Norwood, south-east London, is charged with terror training offences.
