Two Men Face Trial Over Stephen Lawrence Murder

Two men are to appear in court over the murder of Stephen Lawrence.

The teenage student was stabbed to death in Eltham, south east London 18 years ago.

Gary Dobson, 35, and David Norris, 34, are accused of killing the A'level student at a bus stop on 22 April, 1993. Both men were arrested and charged in September.

In 1996 Dobson stood trial over the murder, however he was later acquitted.

The Court of Appeal have concluded that there is enough new and substantial evidence to allow Dobson's acquittal to be quashed.
