Bodies Identified Following Deaths In East London
Detectives from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command are investigating following the discovery of a woman's body in east London.
Officers entered an address in Brymay Close at 6.54am on Tuesday 26 April and discovered the woman, believed to be in her late 20s.
She had suffered stab wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Next of kin have been informed.
The deceased is believed to be Lucinda Port, 29, of Brymay Close, east London.
A post-mortem examination at Poplar Mortuary gave cause of death as stab injuries.
Officers are also investigating the death of a man found hanging at Weavers Fields, Bethnal Green Road, Bethnal Green.
Police and London Ambulance Service attended at 6.30pm on Sunday 24 April. A man, believed to be aged in his early 30s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Next of kin have been informed. Formal identification has taken place and the deceased is named as Paul Wright, 31, from the Tower Hamlets area.
An inquest will open into both deaths at St Pancras Coroner's Court on Tuesday, 3 May.
An incident room has opened at the Homicide and Serious Crime Command under DCI John Sandlin.
Police are provisionally linking the two incidents but enquiries continue.
The Metropolitan Police Service has referred matters in connection with these incidents to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.

Nine US soldiers killed in helicopter crash

Arrests Follow Edmonton Murder
Police investigating the murder of 15-year old Negus McLean in Edmonton have today made a further two arrests. A 14-year old boy, and a 16-year old boy, have been arrested on suspicion of murder and remain in police custody. Police were called at 7.25pm on Sunday 10 April to reports of a stabbing in Westminster Road, north London.

Police Hunt Following Teen Murder
Police are appealing for information following a murder in Southwark. Teenager Lyle Tulloch, from Peckham was stabbed at Newall House in Harper Road on Saturday. Lyle, 15, was confirmed dead at the scene despite efforts from emergency services. A post mortem gave the cause of death as stab wounds and haemorrhaging.
