Ninth Arrest In Edmonton Murder Investigation

A 16-year-old boy has been arrested in connection with the murder of Negus McClean in Edmonton. He remains in custody at an east London police station.

Police were called at 17.25pm on Sunday, 10 April to reports of a stabbing in Westminster Road north London.

Mr McClean suffered stab wounds to the chest and thigh was taken to Royal London Hospital but died later that night.

It is believed that around 13 young black men, believed on bicycles, chased Negus prior to the murder.

Eight other males have been arrested and bailed in connection with the inquiry.

It is understood that counter-terrorism police have been leading the investigation into his murder.

The advertising vans were commissioned by the Home Office, who have claimed them to have been successful while not reporting on how many people had left the country.

Further Arrest in Rhys Murder Investigation
Police investigating the murder of Merseyside schoolboy Rhys Jones have made another arrest. A 20-year-old man has now been arrested in connection with Rhys' murder, Merseyside Police confirmed on Wednesday. Earlier, it was confirmed that police have been granted more time to continue questioning eleven people arrested in connection with the case.

A 64-year-old mafia boss, on the run for 18 years, has been arrested in London, the Metropolitan Police have said. Domenico Rancadore is described by Italian police as the head of a crime family involved in extortion, racketeering and drug trafficking. He was wanted by Italian authorities in connection with his links to Cosa Nostra.
