Prime Minister Backs No-Fly Zone
The Prime Minister is continuing to defend the employment of a no-fly zone over Libya.
The move was first raised on Monday after David Cameron instructed military chiefs to plan for a no-fly zone.
However Labour leader Ed Miliband said a number of foreign governments had "distanced themselves" from the operation.
Mr Cameron also informed UK MPs of plans to airlift "several thousand" refugees from the Libyan-Tunisian border.
Providing three aircraft to fly between Tunisia and Cairo, the rescue effort could airlift around 6,000 stranded Egyptians from the border.
As part of UN plans, the first two planes will leave the UK today.
Department for International Development teams have already been sent to the borders.
The Prime Minister said: "I think it is vital to do this, these people shouldn't be kept in transit camps if it is possible to take them back to their home and I am glad that Britain can play such an important part in doing that."
David Cameron highlighted the importance "to make sure this emergency doesn't turn into a crisis."
