Further Arrests Made Over London Protests
Arrests made in connection with the disorder in central London last Thursday now total 40.
On the day of the protests 34 people were arrested and taken to various London police stations, however they were all later bailed to return pending further inquiries.
On Sunday a number of further arrests were made.
A 21-year-old man was arrested at his home address in Sussex by officers from Operation Malone on suspicion of violent disorder, and attempted criminal damage of the Union flag on the Cenotaph on 9 December. He was taken to a Sussex police station where he was further arrested on suspicion of theft. He was subsequently bailed to return on a date in June.
In London, in three separate incidents, a 17-year-old male, a 24-year-old man, and another man (age to be confirmed) handed themselves in at police stations. All were arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and have been bailed to return on a date in June.
In Derbyshire on Monday, a 21-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of violent disorder and currently remains in custody.
Meanwhile in Leicestershire, a 28-year-old man was arrested and taken into custody. He was later bailed to return on a date in June.
Operation Malone officers have so far released 18 still images and some moving footage of people they want to identify.

Arrests Follow Fatal Bilston Shooting
Three men have been held in connection with a fatal shooting in Bilston at the weekend. The 50-year-old male victim was shot in Tropical Harmony Nightclub at around 4.30am on Saturday morning. A second man was injured at the nightclub. His injuries are not life threatening.

Four more arrests over Securitas robbery
Police have confirmed that four more people have been arrested over the past two days in connection with the £53 million Securitas depot robbery in Kent. Two people - a 23-year-old woman from Tonbridge and a 27-year-old man from Thamesmead in south-east London - are still being questioned by police.

Arrests Follow Headless Body Discovery
Police investigating the discovery of the headless body of a man in north-west London have arrested a man on suspicion of murder. It is understood that the man, believed to be in his 40s, was arrested in Alvaston in Derby on Thursday night. Another man and a woman were arrested at the same address on suspicion of assisting an offender.

A National Counter Terrorism Awareness Week has been launched in London, with forces from across the UK leading a coordinated effort to help raise awareness. Some 3,000 officers will be involved in helping businesses, including shopping centres, cinemas and sports stadiums, train staff and improve security.

Children Fire Death Arrests Made
Two men have been arrested in connection with a house fire that killed six children in May, according to Derbyshire Police. The two men, aged 45 and 49, are being questioned over the fire in Victory Road.
