Further Appeal Following Millbank Tower Disorder

Metropolitian Police Service (MPS) Officers are continuing their investigation into the disorder in Millbank last week.

A total of 50 people were arrested that day for disorder in connection with the student protest in central London.

The national protest took place against higher education cuts and planned increases in tuition fees that could leave students facing £9,000 worth of debt.

Around 30,000 people took part in the protest.

Officers are now speaking to local people who live and work in and around the Millbank Tower and yesterday were knocking on doors and handing out leaflets as part of the drive to trace witnesses and gather additional evidence.

This week detectives released a gallery of images of people they wanted to speak to and reported an excellent response. An investigation team are currently working through that information and acting on it wherever possible.

The MPS are keen for other people to come forward with any information they may have about those responsible for the violence and damage that occurred on Wednesday 10 November.
