Beckham To Take Legal Action
David Beckham has branded recent published allegations about his private life as “lies”
He is taking legal action against US magazine In Touch relating to an alleged liaison in New York in August 2007. In a statement, his spokesperson said the claims were "completely untrue and totally ridiculous, as the magazine was clearly told before publication. Sadly we live in a world where a magazine can print lies and believe they can get away with it."
CCTV Images Released In Murder Inquiry
Detectives investigating the murder of Michelle Samaraweera and three other DNA-linked sexual assaults are releasing images of a man in connection with the incidents.
Despite several efforts by detectives to trace the man they are now hoping members of the public can assist and identify him. Police were first alerted to a series of attacks on women after commencing the investigation into Michelle's murder on Saturday 30 May, 2009. Michelle's body was found in a small park and play area in East London. Michelle, 35, had been strangled and raped. Detectives from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command (HSCC) have linked the three assaults in the area to the murder of Michelle Samaraweera. The suspect has been described as being of Asian appearance, or with dark skin and dark hair, and is aged between 30 and 45 years.
Somali-Born British Terror Suspect Freed
A Somali-born Briton, arrested at Schiphol airport on suspicion of terrorism en route to Uganda, has been freed. Dutch prosecutors reported that he is allowed to leave the country after being freed on Wednesday morning. The man was arrested after a tip-off that he was planning to engage in terrorism in Somalia. Investigators, however have "failed to confirm the information.”

Man Charged Over Fife Double Murder
A man has been charged with the murder of a woman and her young brother. Michelle Thomson, 25, and seven-year-old Ryan were found dead in Fife at the weekend. It is reported that the bodies were found by their mother, who is the estranged wife of the accused, at Muiredge Cottages in Buckhaven on Saturday evening.

Double Murder Suspect Arrested
Following the arrest on Sunday morning of double murder suspect James Allen police have appealed for people to check on any friends and relatives who could have come into contact him. Detectives made the appeal after 36-year-old Allen was arrested early on Sunday after being spotted by an off-duty officer on his way to work in Leeds.

Suspected London bomber to be returned to UK
A British man wanted for questioning in connection with the failed London bomb attacks on July 21 is to be extradited to the UK within 35 days, an Italian court has ruled. Osman Hussein (27) will appeal the decision to the Italian Supreme court, according to his lawyers.

Woman Found Dead At Liverpool Property Identified
A woman found dead at a property in Huyton in Liverpool on Wednesday has been identified as being 45-year-old Michelle Teare. At about 12.50pm, emergency services were called to a property on Ashbury Road following the discovery of a body inside a property. Emergency services attended and found the body of Michelle Teare.
