Bodies Found In Milton Keynes Fire
Two bodies have been found in a property in Milton Keynes, following a fire.
The fire broke out at the house in Fishermead Boulevard in the early hours of Sunday morning.
One woman was rescued, but it is understood that floors and ceilings in the building collapsed before a full search could be carried out. A firefighter was injured when the floor gave way.
The bodies were discovered by firefighters around 1pm on Monday.
It is understood that several families lived in the building and, according to reports, the two bodies found are believed to be that of a mother and her child.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
A statement issued by Thames Valley Police today said: "Thames Valley Police was contacted at 1pm yesterday by Bucks Fire and Rescue reporting that two bodies had been discovered inside a property in Fishermead Boulevard, Milton Keynes.
"The multi occupancy property had been badly damaged by a large house fire in the early hours of Sunday morning.
"At this time, the cause of the fire is not known. Thames Valley Police is investigating the incident with Bucks Fire and Rescue."
