Woman Dies After M5 Crash

A woman who was injured in a multiple vehicle collision on the M5 in Devon has died in hospital.

Oxana Tukova, a 21-year-old Russian national, was one of seven people injured in the eight-vehicle collision,which happened near Junction 28 at Cullompton around 9pm on August 26.

Ms Tukova had been taken to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, but died from her injuries yesterday.

The other casualties received less serious injuries, including a one-year-old baby girl from the Essex area, who was taken to Frenchay Hospital in Bristol as a precaution.

Police have appealed for witnesses to come forward and are particularly keen to speak to drivers who passed through the scene immediately after the collision, including the driver of a blue articulated lorry.

Three People Killed In Welsh Traffic Collision
Three people have been killed in a road traffic collision in Wales, police have said. The incident happened in Tal-y-Bont, Conway, at 8:45pm on 29 October. A woman in her late 50's was taken to hospital with life threatening injuries. North Wales Police said the victims' next of kin have been informed.

Fatalities in M25 smash
Kent police have confirmed that a serious road crash with four fatalities has occured on the M25 near junction 5. Rescue services were called to the scene at 10.35am and there are understood to be a four dead at the scene. The driver of an HGV was taken to Farnborough hospital, Orpington, suffering from chest injuries and shock.

Man Stabbed To Death In Manchester
Greater Manchester Police has confirmed a man has been stabbed to death and another has been injured following an attack in the city. Both men, who are believed to be in their 20s, were found by emergency crews on Parry Road in Longsight, shortly after 00:40am this morning (Thursday).

Teenager Dies In Car Crash
An 18-year-old man has died and three people have been injured in a car accident in Cornwall. The head-on crash involved a Rover Mini, a Renault Scenic and a Volkswagon Polo on the B3274 at Winnards Perch, at approximately 10.20pm last night. The driver of the Mini, a man from the Padstow area, died from his injuries.
