Man Bailed Over M40 Coach Crash

A man arrested in connection with a coach crash on the M40 in Buckinghamshire has been released on bail.

The collision happened around 2am on Monday morning, when an Oxford Tube coach overturned between junctions 3 and 2 southbound.

Twelve passengers and the coach driver were onboard. No-one was seriously injured, but one passenger was taken to Wexham Park Hospital in Slough with a possible back injury, while the driver suffered a shoulder injury.

According to reports, one of the passengers is believed to have tried to grab the wheel of the coach.

A 21-year-old man from Oxford was arrested shortly after the crash, but has now been released on bail until September 25.

Two lanes of the motorway were closed for a time after the crash to allow the vehicle to be removed.
