Three Hurt As Horse Dies In Crash
Three people have been injured and a horse killed after a camper van collided with a number of loose horses in East Sussex.
The collision happened on the A26 at Clayhill, just north of Lewes, around 1:20am this morning.
A VW camper van, which was driven by a 48-year-old man from Uckfield, was travelling north when it came across five horses on the road.
A 40-year-old woman was seriously injured in the crash. She had to be cut free from the van by firefighters and was taken to the Royal Sussex County Hospital, along with the van's driver and a 44-year-old male passenger. All are expected to make a full recovery.
Two children were also in the van. They were unhurt, but were also taken to hospital to be checked over.
A vet was called to the scene, where one of the horses had to be put down and another two were treated for injuries.
Police are appealing for anyone who saw the crash or the horses in the area before it occurred to contact them on: 0845 60 70 999.

Dealers Guilty Of Horse Neglect Charges
Five people have been found guilty of neglecting more than 100 horses, ponies and donkeys on a Buckinghamshire farm. Horse dealer James John Gray, 45 and his son James Gray Junior,16, were both found guilty of 11 charges under sections 4 and 9 of Animal Welfare Act following a 12-week trial, brought by the RSPCA.

Man In Critical Condition Following Acid Attack
A man is in a critical condition in hospital after acid was thrown in his face in Cornwall. The attack happened in Carrine Road, Truro, on Tuesday 9 December. He is currently being treated at Treliske Hospital. Police are appealing to speak to the driver of a red Peugeot van seen in Carrine Road around the time of the incident.

Police Van Death Probe
An investigation has launched into the death of a pedestrian who was hit by a marked police van. Kenneth Thiel-Furber, 26, of Whitchurch died in the early hours of Saturday. He was hit by a Vauxhall Vivaro van on the A41 by the Wrexham Road roundabout. He was confirmed dead at the scene.

Money stolen in Securitas van raid
Police have launched an investigation after a Securitas van was robbed by a gang in Cheshire last night. The robbery happened in the Woolston area of Warrington on Wednesday night around 8:15pm. A Securitas security van, on route to a delivery, had been travelling behind a Volvo flatbed truck.
