British Tourist Killed In Ibiza 'Hit And Run'

A British woman has been killed in a suspected hit-and-run car crash in Ibiza.

Francesca Foulkes, 21, was on holiday in San Antonio when she was struck by a vehicle in the early hours of Sunday morning.

A 24-year-old motorist was arrested after allegedly fleeing from the scene. According the reports, he tested positive for alcohol and drugs, including cocaine and cannabis.

Francesca, who was known as Fran, grew up in Medway, Kent, before moving to Wigmore, where she lived with her parents and 16-year-old sister.

Her father, Julian Foulkes, a special constable with Kent Police, paid tribute to his daughter, describing her as "outgoing and popular" and "extremely kind and considerate to others".

A Foreign Office spokesman confirmed that consular assistance was being provided.

Body of British student recovered in Italian Alps

Bodies In Burning Car Identified
Two bodies found in a burning car in a lay-by in Leicestershire have been identified as a mother and her teenage daughter. The bodies of Fiona Ann Pilkington, 38, and her 18-year-old daughter Francesca Hardwick were found in the car, which was found ablaze in a lay-by off the A47, near Earl Shilton, on Tuesday night.

Man Jailed Over Girl's Fire Death
A man who killed a three-year-old girl in an arson attack on her own home has been jailed for a minimum of 28 years. Graham Heaps, 44, from Woodside Terrace, Crumlin, South Wales, set fire to house Everton last December, after pouring petrol through the letterbox.

Man Dies In London Blaze
A man has died following a blaze at a block of flats in south-east London. Firefighters found the man collapsed on the fourth floor of the seven floor building at 11.30pm on Tuesday. London Fire Brigage (LFB) said that three engines and around 15 firefighters were deployed to tackle the fire at the building in Steadman Street, Walworth, Southwark.
