Three Students Killed In Coach Crash
Three British students have died after a coach crashed in South Africa yesterday.
Sami Lake, 19, Eleanor Payne, 19, and Daniel Greenwood, 22, have been named as the three fatalities and four of their friends currently remain seriously ill in hospital.
The students were on their way to a monkey sanctuary when the driver is believed to have lost control on a bend and the vehicle overturned.
Assistant Principal Mark Bendle of Brooksby Melton College said: "We are deeply saddened at the latest news. Our thoughts and sympathies are with their families and friends at this terrible time. All the families have been contacted and the necessary support is being provided, everyone involved wishes to express our sympathies and offer as much support as we can."
The two girls died at the scene and the boy passed away in hospital.
The trip organisers, Chameleon Worldwide are doing everything possible to assist those involved.
The remaining eleven members of the group are being looked after in Nelspruit hospital and the driver has been discharged.
