Lloyd Daniels Car Crash

X-factor contestant , Lloyd Daniels, has been involved in a car crash just weeks after passing his driving test.

The 17-year-old reality TV star was knocked unconscious and suffered whiplash and burns when he crashed his new car after dropping off fellow X Factor singer Lucie Jones at a tube station last week.

The £13,000 mini has been written off.

According to the Daily Mail Lloyd was taken to hospital for X-rays - and is described as being lucky to be alive.

The young singer was recovering today at his family home in Treharris, South Wales but he has been forced to cancel a gig in Shropshire because of his injuries.

On Saturday the singer posted on Twitter: “Thanks for the support guys. I don’t know how you found out but I didn’t want to worry you all myself because I knew you’d panic. Thanks again.”

Lloyd’s mum Lisa said the family were just relieved he was not badly hurt.

She said: "We just thank God that it was not much worse. He is a really careful driver. He has only just passed his test so he wants to look after his licence and not get any points on it.

"He’s still recovering. He’s got quite bad whiplash, his chest is all bruised and he was in shock. He was really upset."

Lloyd was taken to St George’s Hospital in London to be checked over, where he had X-rays and was put on strong painkillers for the whiplash.

Lisa said: “Thankfully Lucie managed to get to the hospital and be with him.

"I think he finally got released about 3am and they got a lift back to their flat. I wanted to go down and see him but he said he was OK."

Lisa says she is now worried Lloyd will be put off driving after having a crash so quickly after passing his test.
