E-Fit Released Following An Assault

Police in Westminster have issued an e-fit of a man they wish to speak to after a woman was seriously assaulted in Penfold Street, NW8 on Friday 18 September.

At 2.30pm a woman in her 40s was seriously assaulted and robbed in her home, by a man who talked his way into the house.

After assaulting her, the suspect stole jewellery, including gold necklaces, bracelets, rings and a quantity of cash. It is alleged that he then lit a fire in the flat before leaving.

The victim was taken to a nearby hospital.

The suspect is described as a light skinned black man, aged between 30 to 35 years, of large build and approximately 6ft in height. He was wearing a grey jumper, blue jeans and brown shoes.

The officer leading the inquiry, DCI Alexis Boon, said: "This attack left the victim traumatised and feeling unsafe in her own home. We have issued an e-fit which we hope someone will recognise and come forward. I would ask anyone who thinks they may recognise the man in the picture to call us at Marylebone police station."
