Man Charged With Hoxton Killing

A man will appear in court today charged with the murder of a teenage girl who was shot in the neck at a takeaway restaurant.

Leon Dunkley, of east London, has been charged with the murder, and a 16-year-old boy was released on bail until June.

Mr Dunkley is due to appear before Westminster magistrates later.

Agnes Sina-Inakoju, 16, was shot as she stood with a group of her friends inside the fast food outlet in east London last Wednesday evening.

Police were called to the Hoxton Chicken and Pizza fast food outlet in Hoxton Street, Hackney, shortly after 7pm.

The victim was taken by ambulance to an east London hospital but died on Friday morning.

A post-mortem examination carried out at Poplar mortuary gave the cause of death as a gunshot wound.

Man pleads guilty to stabbing student
A man who stabbed a student to death on a train has been sentenced to life imprisonment. Thomas Lee Wood, 22, from Skelmersdale in Lancashire admitted killing first-year student Thomas Grant, 19, from Glouestershire who had been attending St Andrews University.

A 'turf war' in London's east end - which resulted in the murder of a teenager - has now led police to arrest a young person for the killing. Police investigating the murder last week, thought to be in a suspected row over gang territory, have arrested a 17-year-old.

Four more arrests have been made by police investigating the killing of 15-year-old Adam Regis in east London. Adam, from Plaistow, east London, who was the nephew of Olympic sprinter John Regis, was stabbed in the chest and abdomen after a night out on 17 March.

Police Probe After Man Shot Dead In East London
Police have launched a murder investigation after a man in his 20s was shot dead in south east London. The victim was found unconscious with head injuries and wounds to his body in Penrose Street, Walworth, at around 2.50am on Friday. The man was pronounced dead at the scene and a post mortem is due to be carried out later today.
