Girl Shot In Hackney Dies

A teenage girl who was shot in the neck while standing in a Hackney pizza shop has died.

At around 7.15pm on Wednesday, police were called to reports of a shooting at Hoxton Chicken and Pizza fast food outlet in Hoxton Street, Hackney, east London.

Officers and London Ambulance Service attended to find the victim, Agnes Sina-Inakoju, suffering a gunshot wound to her neck.

She was taken to an east London hospital by London Ambulance Service. Her condition was described as critical. However, the girl lost her fight for life today.

Police said they believe two males approached the premises on mountain bikes. One fired a shot through the window, hitting the victim who was inside the premises with friends.

The suspects - described as black, aged 14-18 years, and both wearing dark clothing - then made off down Falkirk Street towards Kingsland Road.

"There have been no arrests and officers retain an open mind on any motive at this early stage," a Met police spokesman said.
