'Grime' Concert Shooting Appeal

Detectives at Scotland Yard have appealed for photos taken at an event in Colindale on Saturday night after it ended with a man shooting three people.

The event was taking place to celebrate the first anniversary of 'Grime Daily' at a venue in Capitol Way, Colindale.

At just after 4am on Sunday 11 April a man opened fire with a gun within the venue.

Three people were injured during the shooting.

A 23-year-old man received four injuries to his chest and buttocks, he remains in hospital, not life threatening injuries.

A 21-year-old woman received an injury to her back, she remains in hospital, not life threatening injuries.

A 24-year-old man received an injury to his ankle he remains in hospital, not life threatening injuries.

Police said they are keeping an open mind as to the motive behind the shooting.

DI Michael Millar, MPS Trident said: "The event was well attended and we know that numerous people were taking photographs either with cameras or on their phones.

"These pictures could prove vital in investigating this crime and I'm appealing for anyone who has images from the event to contact the incident room."

He said it was "pure luck" that no one was killed during the incident.

"The gunman fired an automatic weapon into the crowd; hitting three people. He is obviously an extremely dangerous individual who had complete disregard to the safety of anyone else at the event."

Three men were arrested in a car in NW9 following the incident.

A 22-year-old man, a 24-year-old man and a 24-year-old man all have since been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
