Men Sought Over Glasgow Attempted Murder

Strathclyde Police are appealing for information after a 26 year-old man was seriously injured following an incident in Carnwadric yesterday.

At around 12.50am on Tuesday morning, police were called to a report of a man found injured following an altercation with nine men in Crebar Street, Carnwadric.

He was taken by ambulance to Glasgow’s Southern General Hospital where he is being treated for stab wounds. Hospital staff have described his condition as serious.

Police are treating the incident as attempted murder.

Detective Inspector Scott McMillan of Pollok Police Office said today: "The investigation is at an early stage and at this time there is no further information on the nine men involved.

"This level of violence is not acceptable and my officers will use every resource to apprehend those responsible."

He added: "I would like to appeal to anyone who was in the area of Crebar Street between 12.35am and 12.55am on Tuesday morning and witnessed anything suspicious to come forward to police."
