Murder Probe Launched In London

Police have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man at an address in Lewisham.

Officers were called at approximately 7am on Saturday, 13 March to reports of a body found at an address in Boone Street, SE13.

London Ambualnce Service attended and the man - aged 56 - was pronounced dead at the scene. He had been stabbed.

A post mortem took place yesterday, 14 March at Greenwich Mortuary and gave cause of death as blood loss from the femoral artery in the leg.

Next-of-kin have been informed and formal identification has taken place. The deceased is Abdel-Salam Hussain Abdel-Salam, 56 of Boone Street, SE13.

Officers from the Homicide and Serious Crime Command investigate and retain an open mind as to the motive for this incident and as yet, no arrests have been made and enquiries continue.

£150k Fife Heroin Haul
Heroin valued at over £150,000 has been seized in Fife as part of an intelligence led operation by police. Man Arrested Over £1m Heroin Find
A man has been arrested in connection with the seizure of heroin, with an estimated street value of £1 million. Police Scotland recovered the heroin, along with a quantity of tablets, a firearm and ammunition, during the search of a property in Inverleith Street in Carntyne. Paddington Murder Investigation Launched
Detectives have launched a murder investigation following the death of a man in Paddington. The body of Michael Walser, 45, was discovered at his flat in Gloucester Terrace W2 on Sunday 24 June 2012. A post-mortem gave the cause of death as a head injury.
