Police Seek Murdered Girl's Phone
A man has been charged following a death of a teenage girl in Islington.
Zakk Sackett, 19, is accused of murdering of Jessie Wright, aged 16, last week.
He appeared before Highbury Corner Magistrates' Court in connection with the death yesterday morning.
Police were called at 3.30pm on Thursday 4 March where a body was found in a yard adjacent to a block of flats in Outram Place, N1.
London Ambulance Service attended and Jessie Wright, 16, was confirmed dead at the scene.
A post-mortem gave cause of death as compression of the neck.
An incident room has opened at Barking under DCI John Macdonald, a Scotland Yard spokesman said.
"Investigations continue and police are appealing for members of the public to assist them in finding Jessie's phone, which has not been found despite an extensive search of the scene. The phone is a Black Samsung Tocco Lite," added a police spokesman.

Man Guilty Of 16-Year-Old's Murder
A man has been found guilty of strangling a 16-year-old girl to death and dumping her body on wasteground. Zakk Sackett, 20, of Outram Place, north London was convicted at the Old Bailey of murdering his friend Jessie Wright whose body was found on 4 March 2010.

More Tests Due On Body Of MI6 Employee
Further tests are to be carried out on the body of an MI6 worker which was found in a central London flat this week. The body of Gareth Williams, 30, from Anglesey, was found in a large sports bag in the bathroom of the top floor flat in Alderney Street in Pimlico, central London on Monday afternoon.

Detectives investigating the murder of a 16-year-old girl in Islington are appealing for information regarding her whereabouts up to 24 hours before her body was found. Jessie Wright was last seen sometime late last Wednesday afternoon.
