International Push For St David's
Welsh First Minister Carwyn Jones has arrived in Brussels to kick start St David's Day celebrations around the world.
To mark Wales' national day, Mr Jones hosted a reception at the city's Concert Noble venue to promote food and drink from Wales.
Guests were given the opportunity to learn about how the Welsh Assembly Government is investing €3.8 billion of European funding into projects benefiting people, businesses and communities across Wales.
The First Minister will later meet the new European Commissioner for Regional Policy, Johannes Hahn as well as the four Welsh MEP’s who represent Wales in the European Parliament.
Mr Jones said: "Thousands of people all over the world celebrate our national day because of their links with Wales so it is a great opportunity for us to showcase the best of Wales and raise the profile of our country."
On the other side of the Atlantic, Wales Week takes place in New York between 1 and 7 March, with a variety of events focusing on music and the arts.
An exhibition of some rare Dylan Thomas manuscripts and other artefacts is on display at the Morgan Library and Museum in the city.
Composer Karl Jenkins will be guest conductor at a Music Masters of Wales evening at Carnegie Hall on Saturday 6 March.
The 2010 Dylan Thomas Prize for young writers will be launched in Boston on March 1.
There is also a Wales Week taking place in Chonqing, China between 8 and 12 March with a range of activities taking place to promote Wales in the region, including a multi-sector trade mission.
A reception will also be held at the British High Commissioner’s Residence in Delhi focusing on building educational links between India and Wales.

Body Of Newborn Baby Found In Cardiff River
Police in Cardiff have reportedly recovered the body of a newborn baby from the River Taff. It is understood that South Wales Police were called to the scene at about 18:00 on Tuesday. The scene has been sealed and an investigation is underway. Police have appealed for information.

Two men have been charged with possession with intent to supply following the discovery of heroin in Merthyr Tydfil. South Wales Police seized heroin worth an estimated £40,000, while executing a search warrant at an address in Thomas Dyke, Penydarren.

North Wales Police Investigate Child Approach At Supermarket
North Wales Police have launched an investigation after a child was approached by a man outside a supermarket in Llandudno on Saturday. It is understood that the 8-year-old boy was walking from the Asda store when a man, wearing black trousers, a black walking type jacket with a blue trim and a hat, approached him at about 20:00.

Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Caravan Park Murder
South Wales Police have arrested a man on suspicion of murder at a caravan park last Sunday. Conner Marshall (18) died on Thursday from injuries sustained in an attack last weekend. He had been found in a critical condition at Trecco Bay Caravan Park, Porthcawl.
