Man Stabbed In Rochdale Home
Police in Greater Manchester are hunting robbers who attacked a man with a kitchen knife.
Three men burst through the front door of the 28-year-old victim's house on Stamford Street, Rochdale at about 8.40pm on Sunday 20 December 2009.
They stabbed him a number of times with a kitchen knife and demanded he handed over money. They stole a quantity of cash then ran off, police said.
The victim sustained three stab wounds to his head and body and was taken to Rochdale Infirmary where he was treated for his injuries.
The three offenders are described as Asian and in their 20s.
Detective Constable Russ Clarke, of Rochdale CID, said: "This must have been scary for the victim, however I want to reassure people that attacks in people's homes like this are rare.
"We have a team of detectives working to trace the offenders but we also need the public's help with this. Did you see people acting suspiciously in this area? If so, get in touch."
