Family Jailed For Drugs Offences
Five men and one women - all members of the same London family - have been jailed for a total of 37 years for drug offences.
All six appeared at Harrow Crown Court on December 4.
On April 15, 100 Metropolitan Police officers executed search warrants at ten addresses in Brent. Specialist police search teams found heroin valued in excess of £44,000, crack cocaine valued in excess of £23,000 and skunk cannabis valued at £1,100.
Cash exceeding £53,900 was also recovered as were a number of motor vehicles, including an Audi Convertible and BMW.
A loaded revolver, empty firearm clip and a total of 54 rounds of ammunition were also recovered.
The operation targeted people who were believed to be involved in a range of crimes, including firearms and drug dealing offences.
Simon Burte, 32, of Winchelsea Road, Stonebridge Estate, pleased guilty at Harrow Crown Court on August 21 to four counts of possession with intent to supply heroin and cocaine and two counts of concealing, disguising and converting criminal property. He was sentenced to seven years.
Richard Rhoden, 23, also of Winchelsea Road, pleaded guilty to four charges of possession with intent to supply heroin and cocaine and was jailed for five years and four months.
Levi Burte, 23, of Chatsworth Road, admitted possessing cannabis with intent to supply and a charge of concealing, disguising and converting criminal property. He pleaded not guilty of two charges of possessing heroin and cocaine with intent to supply, but was found guilty at Harrow Crown Court on October 29 and was sentenced to six years.
Neverton Burte, 31, of Winchelsea Road, pleaded not guilty to two charges of conspiracy to supply heroin and cocaine and a charge of concealing, disguising and converting criminal property, but was found guilty and sentenced to ten years.
Melverton Burte, 48, of Fortunegate Road, pleaded not guilty to two counts of conspiracy to supply heroin and cocaine and one count of possessing cannabis with intent to supply, but was found guilty on October 29 and was sentenced to five years.
Maria Rhoden, 49, of Tubbs Road, Harlesden, pleaded not guilty to two charges of conspiracy to supply heroin and cocaine, but was found guilty on October 29 and was sentenced to four years.
Police said that it was "an organised criminal network" and that the defendants were all related. Melverton Burte and Maria Rhoden lived together before their separation. They are the parents of Simon and Neverton Burt. Melverton Burte is also the father of Levi Burte and Maria is the mother of Richard Rhoden.
Police said that all were involved in a conspiracy to supply Class A drugs, namely heroin and crack cocaine. Skunk cannabis was also supplied.

£30m Heroin Haul
Three men have been sentenced at Kingston Crown Court to a total of 55.5 years in jail for their roles in a £30m drugs haul. Harminder Chana, 32, of Upton Lane, E6 was found guilty of conspiracy to supply heroin on 25 June 2009 at Kingston Crown Court. He was sentenced to 17 years in prison.

Doherty pleads guilty to drugs charges
Babyshambles frontman Pete Doherty had pleaded guilty to possession of drugs after arriving more than two hours late at a court appearance in London. An arrest warrant had been issued for the 28-year-old singer earlier on Tuesday after he failed to turn up at 9:30am for a hearing at West London Magistrates' Court.

A man has been jailed for 12 years for possession with intent to supply almost £10 million of heroin. Kyle Johnson, 24, a barber, from Cowbridge Rd West, pleaded guilty yesterday and was sentenced at Wood Green Crown Court to 12 years in prison.

Eleven Arrested In Weston-Super-Mare Drug Raids
Eleven people have been arrested in a series of raids carried out across Weston-super-Mare. Around 50 officers were involved in the operation, including neighbourhood officers, specialist search teams, drug dogs and their handlers, Special Constables, and Crime Scene Investigators.
