West Midlands Betting Shop Raid

Armed robbers threatened staff in a Wolverhampton betting shop yesterday, before making off with cash.

The incident happened at the Tote Bookmakers on Lower Villiers Street, Blakenhall at 10.15am on Tuesday.

Police said two men, wearing balaclavas, walked into the shop and threatened the staff with a revolver-style handgun.

They demanded cash, and cash from the till was handed over. No one was injured during the incident, and no shots were fired.

The first offender is described as 6ft tall, in his 20s, possibly of mixed race or black with a light complexion, and he was wearing a dark sleeved top, dark tracksuit bottoms and gloves.

The second offender is believed to be younger, in his teens, around 5ft 4in tall, and wore dark clothing.

Both men ran from the shop and are believed to have left the scene on foot.

Police have appealed for information.

Police Appeal For Information On Missing Teenager
Sussex Police have issued an appeal for information on the whereabouts of 16-year-old Duyen Thi Nguyen, who is missing from her home in Newhaven. The Vietnamese national is believed to have left her home at about 8am on Wednesday, 29 July. Duyen is described as being of Asian appearance, 5', slightly built and with long dark hair.

Police Appeal After Sexual Assault
Officers at Merseyside Police are continuing to appeal for information, following the serious sexual assault of a 24-year-old woman in Duke Street Cemetery, Southport, last Thursday. Police has released six CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to in connection with this incident on 20th November.

Manchester Armed Robbery Appeal
Great Manchester Police have appealed for information after staff at a Tameside shop were threatened by armed men. The incident happened on Saturday at around 7.30pm. Police believe the two men got out of a silver Lexus that had stopped outside the Co-Op shop on Haughton Green Road.
