More Arrests In Mutilated Woman Probe
Another six men have been arrested in connection with the murder of a mother-of-two who was found mutilated on a London street.
Geeta Aulakh, 28, was found by a passer-by in Braund Street, Greenford, north-west London, around 7pm on Monday. One of her hands had been severed and she was suffering from head injuries. She was taken to Charing Cross Hospital, but later died.
It is understood that she was on her way to her childminder's home to collect her children - two boys, aged eight and nine - when she was attacked.
A post-mortem revealed that she died from a severe head injury.
According to reports, the men were arrested earlier today at an address in Ealing, west London and all six men remain in police custody.
Six other men who were arrested in connection with the attack, including Mrs Aulakh's estranged husband Harpeet, have been released on bail until January 2010.
Police have appealed for witnesses. One line of inquiry being followed is that Mrs Aulakh may have been attacked elsewhere being left on Braund Street.
