Teens In Court Over Fireworks Death
Three teenagers have been charged with manslaughter over the death of a mother-of-nine who died in a blaze at her home after a firework was pushed through her letter-box.
Mary Fox, 59, died when the fire broke out in her house in Wallace Road, Bodmin, Cornwall last Thursday evening.
She reportedly had helped her 17-year-son Raum to escape the blaze and he raised the alarm. However, Mrs Fox was unable to escape herself and firefighters found her body in an upstairs bedroom.
Ryan Croft, 18 and Samual Luckes, 17, both from Bodmin, and Owen Hewitt, 17, from Kestennen, appeared before Bodmin Magistrates' Court charged with manslaughter today (Thursday).
They were remanded in custody to appear before Truro Crown Court on November 20.

Abu Hamza remanded in custody
The radical Muslim cleric Abu Hamza al-Masri has been remanded in custody at Bow Street Magistrates Court today. Abu Hamza, who faces a total of nine charges, appeared by videolink from Belmarsh prison. He was remanded in prison until July 23. The 46-year-old was arrested on May 27 on an extradition warrant served by the US government.

Man Jailed Over Girl's Fire Death
A man who killed a three-year-old girl in an arson attack on her own home has been jailed for a minimum of 28 years. Graham Heaps, 44, from Woodside Terrace, Crumlin, South Wales, set fire to house Everton last December, after pouring petrol through the letterbox.

A 31-year-old man has appeared in court in Manchester charged with escaping lawful custody, following an incident when a prison van was ambushed in Salford. Three masked me ambushed the prison van as it made its way to court on April 30. Stevie McMullen, from Salford, and a second man, 20-year-old Ryan McDonald escaped from the van.

Father Charged With Son's Murder
The father of a four-year-old boy who was stabbed to death in West Yorkshire has appeared in court charged with his murder. Ryan Hawkins died after being stabbed at a house in Royd Street in Slaithwaite on Sunday afternoon. A post-mortem revealed that he died from multiple stab wounds.
