Three Die, Four Injured In Rural Crash

Three people, including a child, have been killed and four others injured in a road collision on a rural road in Lincolnshire.

The collision, which involved two cars and two vans, happened around 5pm yesterday on the B1191 near Woodhall Spa. A man, believed to be the driver of one of the vans, was killed, along with a woman and child who are believed to have been travelling together in one of the cars.

The condition of the other people who were injured in the crash is unknown, although police have confirmed that one person is being treated in intensive care at Boston's Pilgrim Hospital.

Child Crushed Between Two Cars Seriously Injured
A child has been seriously injured after being crushed between two parked cars in Cornwall. The incident happened on a private road near Glynn Barton in Bodmin on 22 May. It is understood the three-year-old became trapped between the two cars after one of the vehicles rolled into a parked car at 6pm.

Death toll on British roads rises by 2% in 2003
The number of deaths on Britain's roads rose by 2% between 2002 and 2003, according to the latest figures released from the Office of National Statistics (ONS) today. Statistics found that road deaths were up from 3,431 in 2002 to 3,508 in 2003. However, the total number of people killed or seriously injured fell by 6% to 37,215 people.

Digger driver charged over house 'demolition'
A 52-year-old man has been charged with criminal damage offences after a house and cars were destroyed by a mechanical digger. Robert Taylor, of no fixed address, is due to appear before magistrates in Chelmsford charged with criminal damage with intent to endanger life.

Man killed in street fight
A man has been killed during a street fight in west London. Another man was critically injured in the fight in Harlington High Street in the early hours of Friday morning, while several other members of the public, ambulance staff and police officers were also injured.
