Tenerife Beach Landslide Kills UK Woman

A British woman has died in a landslide at a beach on the holiday island of Tenerife in the Canary Islands.

Marion O'Hara, 57, was killed along with a local woman in the incident, which happened shortly after 4pm local time on Sunday at a small beach at Playa de los Gigantes.

It is understood that a 130ft stretch of cliff on to the beach collapsed and it is feared that other people may have been trapped under the falling rocks and boulders.

It is not known where Ms O'Hara lived in the UK, but according to reports, she was on holiday in Tenerife with her family.
