Calls Flood Melanie Murder Inquiry
Police investigating the murder of Melanie Hall 13 ago, have received hundreds of calls following a television appeal.
The case was featured on BBC One's Crimewatch show last night and Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed that more than 200 calls have been received so far.
Detective Superintendent Mike Courtiour, who appeared on last night's appeal, said that some "useful information" had been provided.
Police are particularly keen to hear from anyone who can offer information about a set of three Ford car keys, dating back to 1996, which were found at the scene near to the where Melanie's remains were discovered.
The keys include a red master 'programming' vehicle key, two black vehicle keys and a black tag with the number T144213 on it. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on: 0117 9455811.
Melanie Hall, 25, disappeared in June 1996 after a night out at a club in Bath. Her remains were found by a workman on a motorway sliproad on the M5 in south Gloucestershire on October 5.
She had suffered severe head injuries.
A reward for information has now been increased to £20,000. Det Supt Courtiour said: "Someone somewhere knows who killed Melanie and dumped her body. I ask anyone who has any information to contact us."

Young people warned of dangers of 'Sex Lottery'
A new series of hard-hitting adverts warning young people of the risks of unsafe sex have been launched today by the Public Health Minister Melanie Johnson. The 'Sex Lottery' campaign is targeted specifically at sexually active 18-30 year olds with advertising timed to coincide with the Valentine's period.
