Paedophile Jailed For Child Sex Assaults
A paedophile has been given an indeterminate sentence with a minimum five-year term at Cambridge Crown Court after pleading guilty to sexually assaulting young children.
Aaron Collis, 24, of no fixed abode, had admitted eleven offences relating to five girls on September 30.
At Cambridge Crown Court today, Collis was placed on the sex offenders register for life and is also subject to a sex offenders prevention order for an indeterminate period.
Collis' youngest victim was just 18-months-old.
He pleaded guilty to taking indecent photographs of a child; inciting a child under 13 to engage in sexual activity; three counts of assaulting a child under 13 by penetration; sexual assault by licking; three counts of sexual assault of a child under 13; and possession of indecent photographs of a child and distributing indecent photographs of children.
Detective Sergeant Andrea Warren of Cambridgeshire Police said: "Aaron Collis' actions have caused heartache and misery for the parents of his five victims.
"It was when Collis loaned a video camera to a neighbour that his offending was revealed and the police were called.
"On it was footage of one of the offences which identified Collis as the predator.
"I can only hope that today's sentence can bring some closure for the families involved."
