TUV Ards Defections Announced
Two serving Ards councillors have joined Jim Allister's Traditional Unionist Voice.
Independents George Ennis and Terry Williams will now stand under the TUV banner.
Both men are former DUP members, having left the party in 2007.
Mr Ennis was elected to the Assembly as a DUP MLA for Strangford in 2003.
He was deselected by the DUP in 2007 and sought reelection as a member of Robert McCartney's now defunct UK Unionist Party. He was unsuccessful.
Today TUV Leader Mr Allister (pictured) welcomed both men into the Traditional Unionist fold, which he described as "the natural home for more and more principled unionists."
Mr Allister formed the anti-Agreement party after leaving the DUP in 2007.
At the time he was the Democratic Unionist's incumbent MEP.
Mr Allister objected to the DUP's decision to power-share with Sinn Féin at Stormont.
At this year's European Parliamentary elections Mr Allister polled over 70,000 votes, badly damaging the DUP's voting share.
However, Mr Allister failed to hold on to his seat, and still has no political representation at the Assembly.
The TUV has a number of local councillors across Northern Ireland.
Mr Allister has hinted that he may contest Ian Paisley's North Antrim Westminster seat at the next general election.

Ulster Unionists Win Banbridge
The Ulster Unionist Party has come out tops in the Banbridge Council by-election. Although the focus has been on Jim Allister's new Traditonal Unionist Voice (TUV) movement, which had fielded a candidate for the first time in its short history, the UUP's Carol Black won the vote.

Allister Confirms North Antrim Bid
Unionist hardliner Jim Allister has been formally selected by the TUV to contest Ian Paisley's North Antrim parliamentary seat at the next General Election. Mr Allister, (pictured) the Traditional Unionist Voice leader, said he was looking forward to challenging his former DUP colleague "immensely".

TUV And DUP Reach Council Agreement
Hardline unionist Jim Allister (pictured) last night withdrew his challenge for a council by-election in Ballymoney. Traditional Unionist Voice members reached a "mutually advantageous" agreement with the DUP, leaving the Democratic Unionists free to co-opt the seat left vacant by Roy Wilson.

Deputy Speaker Of Assembly Resigns
The deputy speaker of the NI Assembly, Sinn Fein's Caitríona Ruane, has resigned from the role. She kept her post as principal deputy speaker, which has a salary of £55,000, despite the assembly not functioning. TUV leader Jim Allister brought the issue to light and called for her to resign.

Taxpayers Fork Out Almost £300,000 For Catering Services At Stormont
Taxpayers have paid out almost £300,000 to subsidise catering services in Stormont, despite the suspension of the Northern Ireland Assembly. TUV leader Jim Allister also said the Assembly has "taken no steps to address the situation". He said: "With the public subsidy totalling £290,909.
