Post mortem carried out on newborn baby
A post mortem carried out on the body of a newborn baby that was found abandoned outside Belfast has revealed that the infant was a girl.
Two schoolchildren, aged 10 and 11, found the body wrapped in a black plastic bag that was lying behind the Loughmoss Leisure Centre in Carryduff, County Down on Tuesday March 26. It is thought the body may have been there for several weeks.
It has still not been revealed how the baby died.
Police have made an urgent appeal for the mother to come forward amid concerns for her wellbeing. (AMcE)

Woman's body found in Antrim
A man has been arrested after a woman's body was found in Co Antrim early this morning. The body of the woman, who was believed to be around 39-years-old, was found at Mallusk Gardens in Antrim shortly before 1.30am on Thursday. A body has been discovered on the banks of the River Foyle. The unidentified body was found on Tuesday, 18 April, the PSNI have confirmed. A post mortem will be carried out to determine the cause of death. No other details have been released.

Police consider DNA testing to find mother of Carryduff infant
A police spokesperson has said a mass screening of women is an option they may have to explore if they want to find the mother of the baby girl found dead on the outskirts of south Belfast earlier this week. The screening would allow experts to try to match the baby's genetic make-up or DNA.

Body Of Man Found In Lisburn
Police have launched an investigation after the body of a man was discovered in Lisburn. The body was found at a property in the Hill Street area at around 5.45pm on Tuesday, 14 June. Police are currently at the scene and enquiries are ongoing. A post mortem examination is to be carried out in due course. No other details have been released.
